Laboratory Analysis
At Ahlatcı Metal Refinery, analytical testing is carried out in our state-of-the-art laboratories using a combination of classical and advanced instrumental techniques to ensure accuracy, reliability, and consistency across all purity levels.
Gold is analysed using a multi-tiered approach, selected based on the material type and required level of precision:
X-Ray Fluorescence Spectrometry (XRF)
Used for rapid, non-destructive preliminary analysis to determine approximate gold content.
Fire Assay (Cupellation Method)
Applied for detailed and definitive analysis, particularly for alloyed materials. In this method, base metals are separated using lead during cupellation to accurately determine gold content.
ICP-OES (Inductively Coupled Plasma – Optical Emission Spectroscopy)
Employed for high-purity and trace-level analysis, offering exceptional precision for refined gold and liquid solutions.

Receiving Metal (Unknown Purity)
Receipt of doré, scrap, jewellery, grains, or other gold-bearing material. Material is weighed, logged, and assigned a unique batch number. Stored under controlled conditions pending processing.
